Meet Judi'Judicorn'Hampton

I was born in 1970, have a younger sister and amazing parents. My childhood was great. We weren’t rich but we did ok. Mum and Dad started their own business when I was 9, supplying and repairing office equipment and running a stationery shop. We were a typical working-class family, with no real spare money to speak of but what we did do was make memories, and really happy ones at that.

I was ok at school, nothing to write home about. I wasn’t one of the cool kids. I definitely wasn’t sporty and my voice is that bad I wasn’t allowed in the school choir – not even to mime!! But I could act, so as long as no singing was involved I was up on that stage.

As a teenager I chose to laugh at myself before anyone had the chance – and it did lead to years of self-deprecation although only (I thought) for comedy value!

Fast forward a few years I got married and had two kids. I was back working with my dad and loving life – but somewhere along the way I lost ‘me’. I was someone’s wife, someone’s mum, someone’s daughter… I even was known as “the other one” (my sister is a physiotherapist). In 2012 I was introduced to Pampered Chef – my first real look into network marketing or direct sales.

I was back to making people smile and laugh, and I was me! Ok I was Judi the Pampered Chef lady but for a while I wasn’t known as someone’s wife/mum/daughter/sister. I stayed with Pampered Chef until the doors closed in the UK for the last time in December 2015 and I hung up my apron, but now I was bitten by the bug and wanted to keep on making people smile.

I tried other direct sales companies then in the middle of a global pandemic and lockdown I also joined Vorwerk – a company that sells The Best Kitchen Gadget EVER (in my humble opinion!) the Thermomix because ….why not!

I’ve always been blessed with being positive and optimistic, more often than not, managing to see the silver lining in everything. In fact my husband has said to me more than once – there’s positivity and then there’s you! My nickname Judicorn was bestowed upon me in my Pampered Chef days as I couldn’t or wouldn’t see the bad side.

The nickname has remained and Positivity with Judicorn was born!
